The senior management of BALKANCAR - ZARYA AD, represented by the Executive Director, hereby formally declares its Energy Management Policy, based on the belief that the successful development and future of the company depend on impoving  energy performance.

For the effective implementation of the Energy Management Policy, the Senior Management of BALKANCAR-ZARYA AD sets forth the following strategic goals:

•  Ensuring the accessibility of the information and resources needed to meet the    general and specific objectives;

•  Compliance with regulatory and other applicable requirements related to energy use, energy cost and energy efficiency;

•  Maintaining the relevance and adequacy of the current policy, in accordance with the nature and volume of energy consumption, through its regular review and updating, where necessary;

•  Ensuring that the energy policy is disseminated, understood, implemented and maintained in the enterprise;

•  Effective planning and utilization of available material, human, energy and financial resources;

•  Improving energy performance by optimizing basic processes to reduce energy consumption and costs;

•  Carrying out systematic trainings in order to increase the qualification of the staff and their motivation for improving the energy performance;

•  Priority purchase of energy efficient products and services;

•  Design and optimization of processes to ensure improvement of energy performance;

•  Planning and implementation of energy performance improvements.

A guarantee for the fulfillment of these goals is the setup, maintenance and development of an energy management system that complies with the requirements of BDS EN ISO 50001: 2011.

By adopting the modern management approach, the management commits itself to providing adequate resources necessary to achieve the set goals and guarantees the necessary conditions for strict compliance with the requirements of the energy management system of BALKANCAR - ZARYA AD.
